The Main Event Series has been a very successful motocross series in the Houston area for the last two years. Now in its 3rd year Houston area motocross icon James Marshall teams up with long time motocrosser Larry Hughes to bring you the OUTLAW452.com AMA Main Event Series. Marshall is very excited about the chance to give back to the MX community that has been so go to him, says Marshall, “Motocross is my life. Even after my accident this is all I want to do. I love this sport and the people and I love the Houston area”.
James Marshall was a Supercross/Motocross pro privateer making a name for himself on the national circuit before a career ending accident in 2006. Since then he has moved on to a new chapter in his motocross life. He now has a food vendor trailer with some to the best trackside food in Texas! You can also visit his website at www.outlaw452.com and purchase any of his Outlaw452 products. James has also secured a few rep jobs in the industry and represents Leatt and Dragonfire Racing.
Former pro and industry insider Larry Hughes has been the driving force behind The Main Event Series and is equally excited about the idea of OUTLAW452.com on board, says Hughes, “James is a true inspiration to us all, and I am honored to have him involved with the series, it can only get better with James.”
The OUTLAW452.com AMA Main Event Series is different than any other series. There is a short qualifier for gate pick, then a long main event for the overall for the day. It’s similar to a Supercross format. One hour from down town Houston there are 11 motocross tracks and we are privileged to have 6 of the best ones participating in the series. Here are the 6 tracks along with the race dates.
August 22 Highlands Night Track
August 29 Rio Bravo Night Track
September 11 Three Palms Extreme Sports Park
September 13 Cornerstone Motocross Park
September 20 Southwest Motocross Park
October 18 Splendora Motocross Park
Score Keepers Ink has agreed to score the series and several of the sponsors from the last two years are already on board. There was one heck of an awards ceremony at the luxurious Greenspoint Club last year, so expect some fun again this year’s ceremony. Series information will be online at www.scorekeepersink.com.
