First off, for those that may not know you, tell us a little bit about yourself.

The names Travis Freistat, I'm 19 years old and I ride dirt bikes!

Summarize your amateur career for everyone.
I was never like the top guy but normally at most of the amatuer nationals i was in the top ten and occasionaly a top five guy. With my profesional carrer now starting im ready to turn that around.

With the 08 season coming to an end, this means your debut in SX for 09...What are your official plans for this up coming season?
My plans are to do the whole lites West coast SX season and hopefully learn a lot from it. I really want to be a main event guy for my first year and work my way up from there.

How has training for SX been going?
It has been going really good actually. I have been riding almost every day and training really hard. Mike Sleeter has been coming out and riding with me alot and that has been a huge help.

Do you like it better than outdoors?
It's actually pretty much the same for me. At first I was having way more fun riding SX but I think that's because it was just something different. I have been riding sx strictly for the last couple months and I rode Perris the other day and was having alot of fun.

It's going to be a whole different game plan, what's the most important thing for you to gain from this years experience?
I just want to learn alot from this year so that I have a better idea going into next years season.

A lot of riders are struggling for rides and most are rocking out privateer style...Do you have anything lined up for support?
Nope, I'm just rockin' privateer status. PanicRev is going to be able to make it out to a couple races and help me out so I am very appreciative of that and what better people to be surrounded by at the races than them, so I'm really pumped about that!

Racing Motocross is so unpredictable, as believers we know that our faith and trust in Jesus never leaves us...How does it help knowing that you can and will get through any difficult times wether it be racing or not?
Sometimes it gets really stressful when I am wondering if things are going to happen, like if i am going to be on a team or not someday and if racing is going to be my career or not. When I get really stressed I just have to remember that God has a plan for me and I just have to be obedient for what he wants for me.

Do you have a favorite bible passage?
Well as a lot of people know, John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. There has been another one that has also really been sticking in my head when I'm thinking that I really want something but I realize I really need to be patient and pray about it first. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer in petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Wish you the best of luck and a healthy 09 season.
Thank you.
