A lot of people may never have heard of Keaton Ward, but he is a hard charging amateur and Montana native. 2010 will be Keaton's second year racing the B class. He is ready to put in some good results and show that he can run for a championship at headthe amateur national level. The kid has some great support behind him this year. He's got backing from KTM Factory Services, the new Mike Sleeter team. Being Montana is as cold as a Russian unclear winter, Keaton usually heads for warmer weather during the winter. Right now he is in Southern California, which is where we caught up with him. Hope you enjoy Hagin Outh With ...

PanicREV: So Keaton you're down in SoCal for the next few months, what have you been up to?

Keaton Ward: Well I just got back down here. I was back at home. I took a break after the Powder Mountain race. I'm just trying to get back in the flow. I am working with all new guys which is going good! I'm riding and training with Mike Sleeter and working out in the gym with my trainer Dusty. It's all going well!

PRev: Last year was your first year in the “B” class, how do you think you did?

KW: I was 14 years old and racing the B class, so I was pretty young. I did alright. I didn't do too many nationals, but the big thing for me was making it to Loretta in both the schoolboy classes. I was pumped about that, so it was a pretty good year.

PRev: In the past you rode for R&R KTM along with Champion KTM, what happened with those teams?ward1
KW: Well the R&R KTM team was just a shady deal. There was a lot of stuff that went on in Texas at the nationals and our relationship ended after that. Al Albiker had me on the Champion KTM at Loretta, which was good. We ran my KTM Factory Services bikes at Loretta. It went good, but this new deal just came up.

PRev: You're on a new team this year, what is the team called?
KW: KTM Factory Services.

PRev: How is the new program going?
KW: It's going good! I like working with these guys a lot!

PRev: What are your plans for the 2010 season?
KW: As of right now, I just put in some good strong races. We will be in Texas in March for Lake Whitney and Oak Hill; however, after that we aren't sure yet!

PRev: Who is helping you out this year ?
KW: All American KTM, KTM Factory Services, Haven Sports Management, One, FMF, ward2Rockwell Time, Renthal, and Oakley.

PRev: Are you coming back to Montana this summer or are you just going to stay out in Cali?
KW:
I will be back every now and then, but I think for the most part I will be in California. However, I wanna do some races back home for sure!

PRev: Is there anything else you want to add?
KW: Thank you everyone for your support and thanks PanicREV for the interview!

PRev: Good Luck this year Keaton.
KW: Thanks
