We headed out to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA on Friday to watch Vicki Golden, Sara Price, Jessica Patterson, and Sherri Cruse put in some laps on the San Diego Supercross track. Anaheim 3 is being dedicated to breast cancer awareness and they are going to bring in some of the top women's pro riders to be a part of the show. No one has made an official decision yet as to what the women are going to be allowed to do; however, they did allow the women to put in a few practice laps on media day here in San Diego. We caught up with Vicki Golden to talk about the experience.

PanicREV: So Vicki, how was it riding out there riding on a real Supercross track?
Vicki Golden: It was SOOO awesome! I rode SDSX in 2000 for the KTM challenge, and it was just mind blowing to come out 10 years later hucking the triples [all smiles]!

PRev: You were only allowed to ride a short portion of the track, but what was your favorite part?
VG: Yeah, there wasn't much to choose from, but jumping that triple was SO sweet! I was really comfortable on the sections we were golden3able to run and just had a lot of fun with it!

PRev: What are they hoping to have you all do for Anaheim 3?
VG: I'm not 100% sure. It might just be a quick 3 lap race or just a few of us riding the track and showing the fans that we can ride SX. Any kind of exposure is going to be worth it for sure!

PRev: You looked really comfortable out on the track. There is no doubt you have some of the best style out there. When are we going to see you give Supercross a try?
VG: I do feel really comfortable on SX and training with Ryan Beat helped out alot. I don't know when, but it's definitely going to happen!

PRev: I think you would make the night show. How do you feel you would stack up against the boys on a Supercross track?
VG: I agree! I've been riding with a lot of the guys that are making night shows and I feel like I am right there with them, so I can't be too far off pace!

PRev: Changing gears a little bit, Hangtown will be here before we know it. What are you looking for in the 2010 season?
VG: I am feeling really solid coming into this year's season. Riding SX so much is making outdoor more refreshing so I'm pumped to get back on a outdoor track soon! I am really confident in myself this year and I'm going into this season to have fun and win races.

PRev: What do you think the biggest difference is going to be between your 2009 and 2010 season?
VG: Definitely my program. I have more time to prepare myself and I know what I'm preparing for.

golden2PRev: OK back to this Supercross stuff. Really, when are we going to see you racing at Supercross? I am not trying to hint at anything [laughter].
VG: hahaha, I actually wanted to this year, but I haven't had a lot of time on a SX track so I don't want to rush into anything. It is definitely something to think about for next year!

PRev: Is there anything you would like to add?
VG: I just wanna thank the Geico Powersports Honda team for all the help they have been giving me. PanicRev of course! FMF, Fox, DVS, Transworld Mx, CRFstuff.com, my manager Ben Hertel, Miki Keller, and my trainer Ryan Beat. I'd also like to thank Haven Sports Management and Driven Performance, unfortunately things didn't work out but I still wanna thank them for all the time and effort they have put in with me.

PRev: Thanks for taking the time Vicki. Hopefully we will see you and the other women out there at A3.

VG: No, Thank YOU! I hope so too!

Look for Vicki and the rest of the girls to be part of the night show next weekend at Anaheim 3. Here are a couple of shots of Jessica Patterson and Sara Price getting it done in San Diego!
