PanicREV: Tristen, when and where did you startsnowboarding?
DSC_0722Tristen Sadler: I started shredding around the age of 7 at alocal mountain called Hidden Valley in PA.

PRev: Did you fall in love with it right away and do itconstantly, or did it just click one day?
TS: At first it was a struggle for sure. I'd always be falling and getting hurt, but after the first year I started to get the hang of it. It has been a fun time ever since.

PRev: What were your plans with snowboarding once you started getting in the swing of things?
TS: At first I just wanted to go out and snowboard all the time with my friends. I never worried about contests too much or sponsors. My friends and I would just rip around the mountain and have fun. The most fun thing to do is rip around the mountain with my close friends still. I also wanted to do as well as I could and push myself to learn new tricks every time out on the mountain, in hopes of making it in snowboarding someday which consisted of doing more contests and trying to get sponsors.

PRev: In the past or even now, what was the biggest struggle for you to overcome?
TS: One of the hardest things for me to overcome was definitely being what the so called DSC_0663snowboarder is supposed to be like, the partying, drinking, smoking, and what not. It seems no matter where I go everyone loves to just party it away, and it's definitely tough being a Christian among your homies who don't feel the same way you do. God definitely helps me through it all and convicts me when I sin and fall down, which I love because He sets me straight. Every now and then we need that slap in the face!!

PRev: What’s the next step for you on the hill?
TS: Trick-wise I hope to learn some new stuff on jumps and work on consistency. Most of all I just want to be a light to those around me for Jesus. When all is said and done that's all DSC_2128that really matters, and if I'm not doing that then why even snowboard ...

PRev: At home, is there anything you need to do regularly to improve on your skills?
TS: I try to skate when I can and I know that's a big help for sure. Stretching and working out could help too, but I'm not too much into working out!

PRev: What’s in the future for you?
TS: Who knows? Honestly, I'm just placing it all in God's hands and letting Him guide me. Because things can change fast, you just got to have trust in what God is doing and go with it.

PRev: Anything I left out that you would like to throw outthere?
TS: Jesus is Love, and Love is REAL !!!!!
