PanicREV: Tell us a bit about yourself: your name & screen name, your age, and where you live.
Erika Short: My name is Erika Short and my PanicRev screen name is Midgetbmxer. I'm halfway to 38 (19 for those who are bad at math like me) haha. I live in San Diego, California!

PREV: What kind of bike or bikes do you ride?
ES: I ride a 2006 KLX 110 that is bored out to a 143. Every now and then I’ll ride a big bike, but it’s mostly mini moto for me.

PREV: I assume you're mainly an MX gal. How long have you been riding and/or racing?
ES: Well I’m mostly a BMX girl, but I lost my spark to training and wanting to get better in BMX and moto has always been a side hobby that I’ve enjoyed ever since my parents took me out to the desert on my pw50 when I was 4. I started moto'n 85's when I was 16, then had a shot at the Olympics for BMX racing, so I stopped riding moto for 2 years. I hung out with my good buddy Kristen on the weekends when I wasn't racing BMX and we would always mob her 110's. Ever since then I’ve wanted to ride mini moto, and I finally got my own bike, and here I am still riding.

PREV: Are there any other dirt events you'd like to participate in like Scrambles or maybe Endurocross?
ES: Yeah for sure! I'm always down to try new events, it’s just tough because mini's can't ride too many events outside of racing a track. My buddy Mike has this sweet lil 150f with a 250f motor in it and we talked about me doing some D38 racing this year. Definitely looks fun, just finding the time to get out there and doing it.

PREV: How did you find out PanicRev Ministries?
ES: Oh man, I can't even remember. I've known about PanicRev for a few years now. I think Kristen told me about them, and a few other of my friends were like, dude check these guys out. Ever since then I've been hooked, definitely some great guys over there and they’ve got a great message to spread! Something to check out for sure!

PREV: Do you have a favorite Bible verse? If so, why that one?
ES: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path's straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

PREV: I know you've attended Relevant on some of the Thursday nights. For those of us who live in other parts, what are you able to take from that? Is it the lessons that are taught, or the views you get to hear from the guest speakers(can you tell I'm envious 'cause I live so far away?)
ES: Relevant is even far for me! haha. It’s like a hour and half drive or so from me, but man it’s worth it!   I get so much from Relevant, and each time i go it's a self check for me. I wanna better myself for God and become stronger, as a person and as a Christian. I've never been a huge Bible reader, but after the Bible studies, I wanna read the Bible and learn more about God. The guest speakers are a cherry on top of the sundae in a sense. I honestly love hearing about how God has worked it other people's lives and its just amazing how much that rubs off on me.

PREV: Any goals for the coming year?
ES: My biggest goal right now is getting a podium at MMSX. It’s going to be really tough, but I have been working hard and riding a lot, and I have a lot of great sponsors backing me and making sure  I’ve got everything that I possibly need.

PREV: Any shout outs?
ES: First off I gotta give props to the Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him I wouldn't be who I am today or where I am today. I gotta give a huge shout out to Scott, John, and Amy. They
have helped me out so much personally and they got a great thing going on Thursday nights. I encourage everyone to check it out, even if your not big on Church, but you ride come check it out, you’re gonna have a blast! I gotta give another super big Thanks to Justin and JJW Designs, he is making sure my bike looks super sweet and my bike is the best it can be. Eric at SPM racing for making sure my motor is top notch! Last but not least all my family and friends, you guys make my world go around and make sure my weekends are always fun! Annnddd Brian for this sweet interview! Thanks buddy, hopefully you can take a trip away from the cold and come chill with us some Thursday night, and get a taste for yourself!
