The JL59 Ride Day was last Tuesday, and what a day it was! It is kind of a bummer that it takes sad circumstances to get everyone together, but it is always such a joy to see everyone. God really blessed the day; it was incredible. If you haven't, make sure you check out the VIDEO from the event in addition to the PHOTOS WRITE UP!

With that said, working on the ride day last week really got me thinking about the freedom and ability God has given me. This summer I have been looking for full time work and have not had much success. It has been depressing at times; however, with a full time job there would be no way I could put an event together like the JL59 Ride Day, not to mention a lot of other things that ministry demands. God has blessed me with the time and ability to do ministry, including doing events like the one we had on Tuesday. It is a blessing. Yes, in this case not finding work turned into a huge blessing! This week really made me praise God for not having a job and having the freedom to answer His calling. So if that is you and your eyes have been focusing in one direction, make sure you aren't so focused on it that you fail to hear God's call. God wants to use us all in different ways at different times.

With that said, please continue to pray for the LaFountaine family and all of Jeagher's loved ones. We all miss him so much. This weekend also marked three years since we lost our friend Brett Klein. I can believe it has been that long. Please take a moment and also keep the Klein family in your prayers.

Moving on to this weekend at the Southwick National; going into moto 2 at Southwick in the lites class, Trey Canard pulled within five points of Pourcel. Sadly, Canard had an off moto after hitting the ground and finished 9th in moto 2. Canard had a huge opportunity, but the chips just fell in another direction in moto 2. With his moto 1 win, Canard finished 3rd overall on the day and made up 3 points in the overall standings. Heading into Steel City, Christophe Pourcel is in the points lead with 399 points and Trey Canard is 13 points behind him with 386 points. With that said, this should be a good test for Canard. Trey has been riding incredible. >Emig has said, "He has that flick in his riding style right now." His confidence has been sky high! It will be a good test for Trey to have a bit of an off week and bounce back next weekend with that same confidence. He obviously has the ability to win the championship. At this point, how he responds from this one off moto will dictate who wins the championship coming out of Pala.

On another note, Travis Baker walked away from Southwick with a fractured ankle. Baker stated, "My weekend started off good. I qualified fourth in practice, so I was pumped on that. I went down though. As I was starting my bike, some kid came in and nailed me and I fractured my ankle." We are praying for you T-Bake. Heal up and we will see you soon bud

With Ryan Dungey dominating the 450 series, things have been a bit dull in the premier class. With two rounds to go, Dungey wrapped up the championship in Southwick. Second in points is Red Bull Honda's Andrew Short, who had a bad weekend at Southwick. Short found himself on the ground in both motos, which resulted in a 18th overall finish. Check out www.andrewshort.com for his video update from Southwick! Brett Metcalfe has been putting in some solid motos all season and only sits 3 points behind Short in the overall points standings. Kyle Chisholm put in an impressive ride at Southwick finishing fourth overall.
All that Florida sand riding must have really paid off on the sandy Southwick track! Mike Alessi finally showed up for a national. He went 3 - 4 for second overall. Where has he been the last few rounds? I know, I know he has been flirting with the top ten ... but in reality, we haven't seen the real Mike Alessi since Hangtown. Hopefully this weekend will help him turn around his program.

A few weeks back, John and I were able to head to the hospital to visit and pray with Josh Hill. Josh is going through a pretty hard time and a rough recovery. Please keep him in your prayers. If you haven't heard here is an update from Josh that Transworld MX posted, CLICK HERE to check it out.

We also got sad new that Eric Saunders crashed and broke his back this weekend while practicing. Eric is from South Bend, Indiana and is National #349. Our very own James Saechao is close with Eric and stated, "Eric is a really good kid. While he was practicing at his track he went over the bars and his bike cart wheeled, landing on his back. He broke his C5 vertebrae, broke some ribs and punctured his lung. " Eric and the Saunders family have a hard road ahead of them, please keep them in your prayers!

Please continue to keep our Thursday night Bible study in your prayers. We are still working really hard on moving the Bible study from Corona to the Temecula/Murrieta/Menifee area. Right now we are talking to people at Calvary Chapel Bible College, The Springs Community Church and Revival. We are praying something works out at one of these locations.

With the move, it is also very likely that we move the study from Thursday to either Monday or Tuesday night. I think that will be a better fit for you guys that are traveling on the weekends. Please join us in prayer as we move forward and continually seek God's will.

God continues to move in big ways, and has he does he are praying for revival in the motocross community, starting with revival in our own lives and hearts! It starts with one!

On a fun note, we hooked up with Joshua Gray from Shade of Gray a few weeks back. God has given Josh a great gift as an artist and he is going to be rolling out the first PanicREV custom helmets. We are excited to see what Josh comes up with and get them out there. Check back soon to check the helmets out! You can check out Josh and his work on the Shades of Gray Facebook page, CLICK HERE!
