The thermometer said it was over 110 degrees at Glen Helen Raceway on Tuesday afternoon, but that did not detour several hundred people from gathering to put in some laps, as the motocross community locked arms to celebrate the life of Jagher LaFountaine at the first annual JL59 Ride Day! It was truly an amazing day, one of those days that it is difficult to find the words to describe.

The outpour of support, kindness, and compassion was overwhelming; from the turn out to the memorial lap and balloon launch, to the prayers and conversations, the entire JL59 Ride Day was a blessing to all in attendance. After the ride day concluded Carol LaFountaine, Jeagher’s mother, stated:

“We would like to extend our gratitude to ALL that attended Jeagher’s ride day celebration. Most of all we would like to thank the people that put forward such an incredible effort to make it happen. Through their efforts Scott & John with PanicREV gave themselves unconditionally, really showing their love and spirit through everything they have done. As a sponsor, No Fear showed us how love and compassion can shine as they collectively put forth a huge effort on Jeagher’s behalf. Of course none of this would have been possible without the kindness shown by the Glen Helen family led by Lori Bryant. Thank you so much for extending the use of the track and facility! Lori, thank you for the years of friendship and countless hours of hard work to keep this facility open for our use and enjoyment! It was overwhelming for us as a family to see everyone who came to remember Jeagher in such a unique and impacting way. It was great to see all the tattoos, bike graphics, numbers, and shirts in honor of Jeagher. Thank you all for an incredible effort and may you all be blessed as we have been.”

Carol concluded, “As Jeagher would always say, ‘The Moment is NOW,’ live in it! Matthew 6:34, ‘Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.’”

There are so many people that made the JL59 Ride Day a successful event. A huge thank you to all those that were able to make it out to the ride day, by simply showing up your love and support was clearly seen. To all those that were unable to make the event but have been praying, thank you!
