The racing action began today at the Dodge Amateur National. It it shaping up to be a week full of competitive racing action and some nice weather. The promoters did another awesome job getting the track ready to go for this week’s event! The conditions are amazing and the track looks like its holding up nicely. Here is a little glimpse of today’s racing action.

Brandon Scharer is not a household name but he may just become one soon. He looked really impressive today in both of his motos; taking the win in the 85 14-15 class and finishing right on the heals of Chris Alldredge in the 85 open class.

Chris Alldredge was strong today taking the win in the 85 open class.

We had not heard of Morgan Burger before today but we were impressed! Burger showed a lot of speed and ran up front in every moto he entered. Burger is on the gas and could very easily take some championships back to Idaho with him.

Andrew Silverstein looked good today taking the win in the 150 class and finishing right on the heals of Brandon Scharer in the 14-15 class.

Aaron Siminoe took a digger in his 250 B class but was able to get back up and finished inside the top 10.

After most of the top guys in the 250B class found them selves picking up their bikes off the ground Brian Sojgren found himself in the lead and took the win.

Preston Tilford rode a smart race today after having a rough morning. This morning he hit the ground and finishing outside the top 15, but he grabbed the win in his last moto of the day by being patient and making the pass for the lead on the last lap.
Tyler Bereman looked to be the top dog today winning 2 of 4 motos. Bereman had a little trouble this morning going down twice in one moto, he was able to bounce backand and add a second to his pair of wins by the end of the day.

Jeagher Lafountaine showed a lot of speed today taking the win in one moto and grabbing a pair of seconds behind Bereman. He gave Bereman a run for his money in the other two motos as well. These three rides were not the impressive one though; he really impressed when he got off to a mid-pack start picking guys off all the way to the finish. On the white flag lap he took a gnarly line that no one has tried and pulled it off to pass two more riders to put him into 4th. He now has this line in his back pocket and will bring it out if it is needed. (In photo Jeagher catches some Z's in the PanicRev booth after a long day of motoing).

Jessy Nelson started the week off well taking the win in the schoolboy class but things took a turn when the gate dropped for the 250 B class. He went into the first turn around 4th but ended up hitting the ground and had to work his way to the front. He was really on the gas but was only able to get into 4th by the end of the moto.

Connor Pearson was on the gas today in the 85 openclass. He showed that he will be a front-runner all week long!

Youngster Tristan Miller looked solid in the 85 open class, leading for a few laps. He did take the win in his age group.

Brady Kiesel was on the gas and put in some nice rides today.

Brandon Hernandez took the win in his 50cc class.
Check back tomorrow for more updates from Dodge!
