The talent is deep here on The Mountain in all the mini classes; however, Matt Basceglia has without a doubt been the stand out. The young Texan took the win in the 85cc 12-13 class both on Tuesday and Wednesday. Also putting in strong riders in the 12-13 class were Jesse Masterpool, Justin Hill, Chris Alldredge, and Copper Webb.
Matt Basceglia kept his win streak going when the thirteen year old took the win in the coveted Supermini class. Again, Basceglia took the class win on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Baceglia is really on the gas and will be going back home to Texas with six bears and two overall titles!
The Supermini class always holds some of the best racing action of the week. On Wednesday the class did not disappoint. Justin Hill rocketed out of the gate and up the Mammoth uphill with the lead. Hill road strong until sliding out in a corner a few laps into the race. With Hill going down, Jesse Masterpool and Chris Alldredge went at it for second. When the checkered flag came out it was Masterpool (pictured below) edging out Alldredge for second.
Ryan Surratt has been riding well in the 85cc 7-11 class and took home the class win on Wednesday. Taking the class win on Tuesday was Justin Hoeft. Also putting in solid rides where Steve Gretchen, Tristen Miller, and James Gardiner.
The 150cc Open class saw Cole Thompson taking the win and running away with the title. The sixteen year old is on the gas aboard his 150. It should be interesting to see how he makes his transition into the big bike class.
In the 65cc 9-11class it was Luke Purther taking the win on Tuesday and Michael Mosiman winning on Wednesday. Sean Cantrell (pictured below) and Deegan Von Lossberg also put in solid rides.
Bryson Gardner (pictured below) killed it in the 65cc 6-8 class aboard his #837 KTM, taking the win on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Cooper Webb took second place in both the 150 Open and 85cc 12-13 classes
Andrew Silverstein took third in the 85/150 14-16 class on Wednesday
