Well today was filled with some great racing action, along with some crazy racing action. It was an awesome day and the weather was great for some racing.
OK first the drama: in one of the last motos of the day Jason Anderson, Lance Vincent, and Max Anstie all found themselves in the same moto and hungry for a win. Vincent got out front early, but could not hold off the hard charging Anderson who made an unbelievable pass on him. Anderson flew through the sand whoops and into a right hand turn and made room for the pass where there was no room. The pass resulted in Vincent hitting the ground. With Anderson out front, Anstie was in the second spot. Anderson made a few bobbles and let his KTM teammate catch up. Anderson kept on making mistakes and Anstie was soon all over the number 312 KTM pilot. Anstie went in for a pass, which could have been made very easily without any contact. However, Anstie thought he would look over his shoulder, slow down, and make sure he and Anderson came together. The pass resulted in Anderson’s front wheel getting taken out from under him. After the race the KTM pits were a mess with all kinds of drama, being that Anstie and Anderson are teammates. The parents were ready to go at it; people where having to holding them back. Things cooled down and everyone pretty much thought the drama had concluded. To my surprise as I was driving to get something to eat, I got a phone call informing me that Max Anstie had been DQed. It didn't stop there though as he wasn't only DQed, but also kicked out of and banned from Oak Hill. Earlier this week Anstie also had some drama when he took out Lance Vincent.

So that is the big talk at the track. The KTM team has been a mess as Derek Rodgers also left the factory KTM team to ride Kawasakis as a result of the way things have been going at KTM.
Yesterday Travis Baker took a digger and messed himself up pretty good. He is limping around and you can tell that it is affecting his riding as well. He is not comfortable on the bike and is not really able to stick his leg out in left hand turns. TBake is manning up and still pinning it even though he is pretty jacked up.

Today we saw Christian Craig win his first moto, but he really had to work for it. Dean Wilson had to work his way forward, but did and got right on the heel of Craig. The two of them went at it for about 3 laps, and Craig was able to hold off the hard charging Wilson for the win. The two of them threw down some fast lap times breaking into the 1 min mark.

In the 85 7-11 Stock class Hunter Hilton was able to grab the win. He got out of the gate well and grabbed the lead before completing the first lap. He rode a smart race and stated, “the track is sandy and is getting pretty rutted up which suits my riding well.”
In the 65 10-11 class Kade Walker has cleaned house in Texas. He has won just about every moto he has entered, and he did so once again today. He grabbed the Mod class title today with Austin Forkner and Barnett rounding out the podium.

In the 125 Schoolboy class Dillan Epstein was on the gas; though he did not take the moto win, he was pinning it and has a real shot at winning a title this week. Joey Savatgey took the moto victory and is also looking strong. Jacob Hayes also has looked good on board his KX 125 and took the win in his division of the 125 schoolboy class. The main is going to be a blast.

In the 85 7-11 Mod class we saw both Blake Green and Stephen Gretchen take the victory in their respective divisions.

Sean Cantrell and Challen Tennant are insane on their 65’s. These two kids are flying in the 7-9 class. Cantrell grabbed another title edging out Tennant once again. The time is coming soon though that Tennant will take a few of these titles away from Cantrell.

In the last moto of the day, Nick Paluzzi was really on his game as he chased down Ian Trettel. Paluzzi was flying and was able to make a pass for the lead on Trettel, but it was not just any pass. Paluzzi scrubbed so hard off of a jump that he was about 3 feet lower than Trettel. Paluzzi was literally under Trettel’s wheels; it was truly a “bubba scrub” and INSANE!
