FMP: Donald Francis
PanicREV: Tell us a bit about yourself: your name & screen name, your age, family (optional), and where you live.
DF: TBMX is my screen name. Name is Donald Francis, but I usually go by Don and my nickname BigD. I'm currently 29 and have lived all 29 years in Nebraska, with most of my childhood living in Kearney, Nebraska. But I was born and currently live in Omaha. I have 1 younger sister. I currently am single. And yes, I'm a huge Husker Fan, through the best of times and the worst of times that all teams go through. So, if you want to talk College Football, you’d best be ready to talk.
PREV: I know you haven't been doing much riding lately, but you are involved with MX quite a bit. Tell us what's been going on.
DF: Well, I actually have yet to ride a bike, but I am involved by flagging at several area tracks and do some photography. It has been nice to get to know many of the riders and their families through taking photos at the races - its not as easy to do photography and flagging as I make it look.
PREV: If I'm correct, you've been busy organizing an outreach program, how's that going?
DF: That would be correct. The last few years I have been providing a invocation (prayer) following the riders meeting at a couple tracks that I've been attending. Things are moving slowly, but its nice that I've been doing this at the pace that I'm going because I want to do this on God's time and not on my time. I've been talking with people about what the plans I have for the ministry are and getting feedback, for which its been nice to be able to ask Scott questions that I have and getting an honest answer back.
PREV: How did you find out PanicRev Ministries?
DF: Well, it was more like Scott finding me. I believe it was within the first or second year of Scott and John out doing PanicRev when Scott found the Christian Motocross group that I had running on Yahoo! Groups and in just a few conversations, Scott shared about PanicRev and I've been following what PanicRev has been doing ever since. So I guess I could say that I was one of the first members to be part of the PanicRev Forum from outside of California.
PREV: Do you have a favorite Bible verse? If so, why that one?
DF: Well, I would have to say that the verse would be Romans 8:28. It was the first ever verse I actually memorized at the age of 12. Paul writes in the verse 'And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.' (New Living Translation).
Paul writes in this verse that no matter what situation you have to go through, God has a purpose to use it for the good of the situation, not the bad of the situation. All we have to do is have a relationship with God.
PREV: Any shout-outs?
DF: I just like to say to everyone that helps with PanicRev to keep up the work you all are doing in SoCal. For those who want to keep up with what I'm doing with the Faith Riders MX Ministry here in the Omaha area, they can checkout the ministry on MySpace at www.myspace.com/faithridersmx . And for those who are on Facebook, they can request to be friends with me by going to www.facebook.com/tbmx923.
