Mammoth Ministry Report

It was an honor to be a part of Mammoth Motocross 2010. It was a trip we all walked into with a lot more gratitude and thanksgiving because it was a trip that almost didn’t happen. 2010 really opened up our eyes to how important it is to have the ministry at the race track. It was an honor to do ministry at the 2010 Mammoth Motocross to set up the lounge in the pits, to host our events, and to pray for people and minister to open hearts.

New to our ministry program in 2010 was a lounge in the pit area for riders, families, and friends. It was an area where people could get away from the races, hang out and relax, and even seek prayer. It was a blessing to have a centralized area on pit row where people could find us. God really used this to help the people we expected to come out but also to have us shake the hands of people we never met before. We were only able to make the lounge in the pits happen this year because the space was donated. We would like to give a huge thanks to TREmx.com and Fly Racing. Without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to do it.

Over the past few years, PanicRev has hosted nightly events in town after the races. The heart of the events has been to give kids the option to have good clean fun, instead of the trouble many get into in town, and hopefully connect them to Jesus. This year PanicREV hosted two events: the MX vs ATV Reflex tournament and a night of worship.

The MX vs ATV Reflex tournament was awesome because there were at least a half a dozen people there that we had never met before. It is always so amazing to meet new faces, build new relationships, and seek new doors for ministry.

Moreover, our night of worship was amazing. We had a solid turnout as well as a spirit filled night of worship. God touched everyone there through worship and the sharing of His word. It was an amazing time, one of those nights where one simply experiences the Lord through worship in song and the study of His word!

It is such an honor to be there to pray for people in their times of need. This year we had to visit our friend Timmy Weigand in the emergency room right there in Mammoth. Timmy had a gnarly get off. Fortunately the PanicREV crew was right there as John and Reid helped stabilize Timmy on the track and Jeff poured out his heart in prayer over him. It was a seriously frightening moment for every one of us; however, it was such an honor to be there and be used. Timmy suffered some injuries, including a head injury; however, he will be OK, praise the Lord!

We were not only extremely grateful in be in Mammoth this year, but God really opened up our eyes to how important it is for us to be there, be used, and to love people in this industry in the name of Jesus. We are praying for God to move in the hearts of His people and provide as we continue to serve and continue to seek Him with our whole heart. Please keep us in prayer.
