PanicRev Journal – January 2006

We hope and pray everyone had a fun and safe Christmas and New Years! The PanicRev Crew is very excited about 2006 and the direction the Lord has given the ministry. We would like to use this, the first PanicRev Journal of 2006, to share what the Lord has placed on our hearts for 2006 and beyond.

PANICREV RIDE DAY

PanicRev Ministries will be hosting a ride day at the highly anticipated Competitive Edge Motocross Park on February 18th. This will be a private track rental at CEMP's new intermediate track. This will be the first time that Team PanicRev Ministries will be getting together; we look forward to gathering together with everyone and building/deepening relationships. While our team riders will be in attendance, anyone interested is welcome. The cost is $30.00 per rider and $5.00 per spectator: lunch will be provided. Additionally, we will have a small raffle and a number of give-a-ways. Space is limited, so sign up by contacting Scott Parkinson at scott@panicrev.org or (626) 991-1877. NONOPROFIT UPDATE

We are now an official corporation and have applied for our tax exemption status. The filing could take up to 120 days, but once we are approved we will be an official 501c(3) nonprofit organization. We are looking forward to this next step the ministry has taken and would like to thank everyone that has helped us get this far!

FUTURE PLANS

The Lord has really placed it on the hearts of the PanicRev Ministries leadership that this ministry is something to which they devote themselves. Prayers are being lifted up that by the end of 2006 we will be in a place financially to bring on a paid staff person. The Ministry has a long way to go, but everyone truly feels the need is great in the motocross community-a need that justifies a full time ministry. Scott Parkinson will be graduating from Life Pacific College with a BA in Bible in the fall of 2006. The ministry hopes to be able to bring him on as a track pastor and overseer of the ministry. This is a position that Scott would fit into nicely. Scott knows that God has called him to serve Jesus Christ in the motocross community. The ministry feels that Scott would fill this need and position perfectly because he grew up around the sport, has a deep rooted passion for it, and the people within the sport. Most importantly, Scott has a true passion to seek Christ at all costs. Moreover, Scott has compassion for the lost and a heart to shepherd people towards the Lord. With all he is, Scott wants people to come to know the love of God, accept the loving work Christ did on the cross, and continually walk towards Jesus. Scott is a man who was truly created for this ministry, and the ministry has grown to a point requiring his fulltime commitment. We ask that you please earnestly pray that the Lord provide not only monetarily but with people gifted with fundraising talents. Moreover, please pray He opens the doors He wants opened and closes those He wants shut.
