A Day to Honor a Motocross Legend

The Marty Moates Ride Day took place at Cahuilla Creek MX Park January 9 th 2007. The day started with sunshine and beautiful weather. There were all kinds of people that came out to show their support, the pits were full. The now notorious “MotoDog” and his owner made a very popular appearance. Also in attendance were Jeff Emig, Ryan Hughes and a few other pros. Everyone was riding and enjoying the day. Without a doubt the event had a good vibe all around.

Spy and FMF showed their support by hosting the event. They provided a tasty lunch and some great raffle prizes and even giveaways.

Don Emler (owner of FMF) and his son, LittleD, were in attendance, chatting it up with everyone who wandered up to ask questions [including myself].

As for the riding itself, the track was fast and fun! It did get a little rough in the afternoon but, had a super cool layout. It was a pleasure to watch the pros fly around the track!

It seemed to be a wonderful way to remember a true motocross legend.
