PRev: Are there alot of tracks up in your area?
AVB: Not in the immediate area, but I am lucky to have a track about 30 minutes away. I am also about 2 hours away from Hangtown . . . on top of several other local tracks. But I do like to make several trips to SoCal throughout the year.

PRev: What is your favorite track in California?
AVB: Oh Man! Racetown 395 has always been an awesome track for me, but Oatfield out in Turlock, CA is an AWESOME track too. It's open only select times throughout the year, though.

PRev: Racetown is actually my favorite track as well. Do you get to ride there or Oatfield often?
AVB: I have ridden Racetown 4 times or so, and Oatfield once because half the time when it is open I can't make it out.

PRev: What class are you racing?
AVB: Lately, it's been really mellow racing-wise. My dad's business is picking up; he is gone on the weekends, so I've just been messing around in the Beginner class. I will be going to Novice in a few weeks, though.

PRev: Awesome! Are you excited to be moving up?
AVB: Oh yeah, It's scary in the beginner class!

PRev: Yeah, I know all about that! So what got you into riding?
AVB: My dad used to race desert and baja, so I have been around it all my life. One day I got a Kx125 and thought I was the king of the world [laugher].

PRev: So was your dad someone you looked up to growing up?
AVB: I don't know really. I definitely react to situations similar to how he does, both good and bad. I I never understood the whole "be like him, he is your role model" type of deal. I grew up in a Christian home, so I guess I looked up to God the most. Back then Christianity to me was something I was told to follow, not something I TRUELY made a commitment to in my heart.

PRev: What about God made you look up to him instead of being like every kid and having a famous wrestler or athlete as their idol?
AVB: To me, God was something that no wrestler could ever be. I was told all about God, even read about who God was, and it really got me interested. Recently, it became totally evident how all of these things are true. How true God says he is.

PRev: That's awesome that you looked up to God that way! Back to racing for a second, did you always want to race or what got you to start racing?
AVB: It was more like "what's the next step?" and racing was it.

PRev: What motivates you when you're racing to go out and give it your best?
AVB: I don't have fun if I know I lost and didn't try my hardest.

PRev: How did you first hear about PanicRev?
AVB: Man, I remember I googled something and PanicRev forums came up way back in October of 2005!

PRev: Do you believe in what PanicRev is doing?
AVB: Heck Yeah! PanicRev and MXers for Jesus are great for this sport!

PRev: What is it about Jesus that makes you love him?
AVB: Romans 5:6-8, "You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I love Jesus, because He is by far the coolest dude in the ENTIRE universe who has done sooo many amazing things in my life that are without a doubt works of Him."

PRev: Awesome, well Alex thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself with everyone here at PanicRev, and best luck with your motocross season!
