Loretta Lynn's Day 3
By: John Parkinson
08/2/07

Astutin Stroupe has really been on the gas and showing everyone why he is Pro Circuit material. It will be fun to see what he can throw down next week in Millville!

Chris Johnson has pulled three holeshots thus far in the MX Lights A and A/Prosport classes.  He has put in strong rides all week, but comes just a little short of matching the speed of the top three: Stroupe, Izzi, and Cannard.

Eli Tomac was straight out flying! Once the Suzuki mounted rider got into the lead he checked out and took the win.

We haven’t talked much about Blake Baggett thus far this week. He has not been getting very good starts, but Thursday he managed to work his way up front by the end of the race.

Ian Trettle looks to be back up to his former speed. He has been staying strong and has continually been finishing on the podium.

Les Smith is on the gas and has won three out of four motos thus far.

Austin Eitel had a strong ride in the Motocross B mod class.  On Thursday he ran in the third spot until the last lap where he got passed by Hunter Hewitt.

Adam Cianciarulo is doing really well here at Loretta’s; winning three out of four motos. In the one moto he did not win he only come up one spot short finishing in second place.

Cooper Webb has had some bad luck getting out of the gate all week long, but he has managed to work his way forward and put in some good finishes.

Leah Cantrell pulled out to the holeshot in the second moto of the women class but could not hold off the hard charging Tarah Gieger.  Cantrell ended up finishing fifth.

Gieger was really on the gas and checked out. She is looking good to take home a title having two moto wins going into the third moto.

Jessica Patterson has her hands full with Gieger and has uncharacteristically not been able to pull off a moto win.

Sarah Whitmore rode a strong race getting around Elizabeth Bash late in the moto which put the Yamaha mounted rider in third.

Michael Hall took the win in the MX Lights Schoolboy moto with ease.  He is looking really strong and is in line to win two titles. He is going to be hard to beat going into the remainder of the week.

Dean Wilson had to ride the four stroke and MX Lights Schoolboy classes so he could ride B again next year for the X-Treem team green.

Tyler Sjoberg took the first moto in the MX lights class, but he was not able to finish moto two do to mechanical problems.
Trey Canard is looking on track now, as he has won his last two motos.
Terren O’Dell was on the gas in the MX Lights stock B class. He got out to a big lead early and never looked back.
Derek Rogers rode well in the MX Lights stock B class working through the pack to finish fourth.
Blake Wharton has won both motos of the 125 2-stroke class and put in a strong ride in the B stock class finishing second.
Jason Anderson is looking unbeatable as he is four for four in moto wins and is not looking to slow down.
Jessy Nelson, number 46, is back from a rough few months, he has experienced a death in the family, dad getting hurt, he is coming off three injuries in a row … and the list just goes on.  However, this kid is tough and is fighting through it all.  Last year at the ranch he won all of his motos in the 85cc 7-11 stock and mod class and was looking to give Anderson a run for the top spot this year.  Things turned for him though and he is working really hard to get back where he was.  He finished up sixth in the 85cc 12-13 mod class Thursday.
Zach Bell put in a good ride in the 85cc 12-13 mod class finishing up second.

Red Bull's Brandon Mays held strong and finished up third in his moto.
Joey Savatgy has put in some good laps and is looking to get on the podium by the end of the week.
